Independence Township real estate is located within more than 20 square miles in the eastern part of Warren County. Independence is largely rural, with most of the development located in the eastern part of the township.

This area is well used by local school children, since it is adjacent to the Independence Central School and the Great Meadows Regional Middle School. Good planning has also secured 18 acres of open space within the Autumn Hills development off Fairview Drive.
